40 Hour Re-certification Class

A CDL permit is required before you can test for you CDL license. Getting this permit requires that you pass your General Knowledge and Air Brakes and Combination written tests if you are going for a Class A CDL license, while Class B drivers only need to pass the first two.

If you feel comfortable, you may try them on your own up to three times at any DMV Customer Center. However, after the third fail, you will need to attend a mandatory 40 hour class at a DMV approved school before you can re-test.
